You Say I Am Loved

“The mountains might shake. The hills might be removed. But my faithful love for you will never be shaken. And my covenant that promises peace to you will never be removed, says the Lord. He shows you his loving concern.” Isaiah 54:10 NIRV

God’s love for us is infinite, never-ending.

The Bible is one progressive love story. It is filled with demonstrations of God’s love.

No greater love has ever been known. God’s love is abundant, unconditional, extraordinary, genuine, and perfect.

It can be hard for us to imagine such powerful love because as humans we don’t love like this. People constantly let us down, break our trust, or disregard our feelings. Even if we have the best intentions, we can still misunderstand people. But God never misunderstands us, and His love will always be superior. His love is perfect. He will never do anything to let us down and He gave us the ultimate example of love.

Normally when we think of love in the Bible we automatically think of Jesus and His sacrifice, and this is the best place to go. There is no better example than giving up everything for people you love.

John 15:13 NIRV says, “ No one has greater love than the one who gives their life for their friends.”

We hear this story so often that sometimes it can become a cliche, but I want us to think about this. Jesus gave up everything, and He went through more pain than any of us can even imagine. He did it all because He had this unconditional love for us that while we were willingly betraying Him, He gave his life for us.

Romans 5:8 ESV says, “But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

1 John 4:9-10 NIRV says, “Here is how God showed his love among us. He sent his one and only Son into the world. He sent him so we could receive life through him. Here is what love is. It is not that we loved God. It is that he loved us and sent his Son to give his life to pay for our sins.”

John 3:16 NIRV says, “ God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son. Anyone who believes in him will not die but will have eternal life.”

These are just a few of the passages that describe God’s for us. I would encourage you to take some time and go over these passages on your own and find some of the other ones.

God says that we are loved. The next time you are feeling unwanted or unloved, remember these scriptures, and remember that God wants you and He loves you so much that He gave up everything for you. Over and over again we see this love made manifest. Everything God says about me is true, and God says I am loved!

In Christian love,
